9 Stockland children took part in the Schools' Laser run competition at Leweston on 9th June.  This was the first event for all of them after a trial of laser shooting the week before.

The event involves a short run to the shooting range then, using a laser pistol, shooting as many times as it takes to register 5 successful hits or until 50 seconds is up.  The runner then runs a course then returns to the shooting range for their next shoot.  After this shoot there is a final running loop to the finish line.

Both the boys and girls teams were placed second in their sections.

This was a new event for all and the Stockland children cheered each other on with a great team spirit and attitude of "giving it a go". Hopefully we can return with teams again for next year's competition.  If anybody is interested in laser shooting and other Pentathlon training please contact Sarah Thompson.
